Description:
Cashiers and Overnight Stockers needed in our convenience stores.
Seeking military veterans, especially older veterans, to fill these
PT and FT positions. Stores located in Frederick County, an hour
north
of Washington, DC.
Cashier Duties:
Primary responsibilities include maintaining helpful customer service, processing sales quickly, accurately,
and efficiently, and cash register operations. Ensure each customer receives outstanding service.
• Tactfully and pleasantly deal with customers
• Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements
• Accurately and efficiently ring on registers, maintain all cash at registers
• Maintain orderly appearance of register area and supplies stocked
• Perform other tasks as assigned from time to time by store management
Cashier Qualifications:
• Experience in a retail environment either in cashier or sales preferred
• A commitment to service, excellence and customer satisfaction
• Ability to process merchandise through electronic cash register system
• Ability to communicate with associates and customers
• Strong team player, yet able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
• Willingness to learn, cheerful and positive attitude
• Bilingual is a plus
• Ability to stand for an extended period of time
Overnight Stocker Duties: Doors close at midnight, so you'll be working in a secure
environment.
Primary responsibilities include ensuring safe,
efficient night shift store
operations and maintaining adequate product
inventory levels.
• Ability to move, lift, and handle boxes of merchandise at the store
• Keep store clean and well organized, including back room and shelves
• Stock shelves, refills displays and overall recovery
• Load and unload boxes
• Work efficiently and comply with established cleanliness standards
Overnight Stocker Qualifications:
• 3-6 months prior stocking experience preferred
• Solid communication skills
• Ability to work well with others
• Basic reading and writing English skills
• Organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work overnight schedule
• Able to operate pallet jack
• Lift moderately to heavy loads up to 75 lbs
• Ability to bend, reach, kneel, squat
Salary: $10-14/hour - based on experience
